ABSTRACT:
A 3 page critical analysis of the book by Ann Ferguson. Ferguson contends that racism and stereotyping in today’s public schools is insuring failure among black males. The author of this paper agrees that if such problems are occurring it is inexcusable but suggests that much more is at play in the academic and personal failure of black males than racism and stereotyping.
